When I first began exercising, I did it for the same reasons everyone else did: it was offered in school and I enjoyed being part of a team. It wasn't until later, as an adult, that I realized the real value of being part of something that would stay with me for the rest of my life.
Feel 50 When You're 100
There is no reason not to feel like you're 50 when you're 100 years old.
The majority of diseases that people suffer from as they age are diseases of atrophy and decay. Nearly 100 percent of heart and other cardiovascular diseases are preventable. The main reason why people suffer into old age is because theyâve slowed down. Think about it. How many people have you known who remained active and virile through life until they retired. Faced with nothing to do, they sit in a chair, watching television, getting old.

The Four Elements of a Happy and Balanced Life ... ==>>
The secret to living a long and healthy life are quite simple, and revolves around four important elements:
- Daily exercise
- Proper nutrition
- Maintaining friends and a support group
- Having something important in your lifeâ
When even one of these elements is missing, people give up their reason to live. Let's discuss these for a minute.
Daily exercise has been proven to reduce old age and heart disease. Men and women who regularly exercise, maintain more muscle mass, denser bones, stronger connective tissue, maintain their ability to balance and are less likely to fall and injure themselves â the primary thing that slows people down.
Proper nutrition has also been shown to stem the tide of "diseases of the old." In many cultures, people who eat properly throughout their entire life, remain active â often living to be over 100 years old. What slows us down is fast food, processed snacks and food laden with saturated fat and cholesterol. It doesn't have to be that way. Good nutrition is a choice.
Maintaining friends is an integral part of happy aging. Studies have shown that older people who isolate and spend more time by themselves die prematurely, compared with their more social counterparts.
Having a purpose in life gives us a reason to get up every morning. It doesnât have to be work, although more and more seniors are choosing to continue to work; not working because they have to. Your purpose can be playing a musical instrument, photography, volunteering for a service organization or anything else that is important to you. Minimum wage jobs at Walmart won't do. It has to be something youâre passionate about. Maybe something you now have time to do, when you didn't before.
Living a happy, balanced life is easy. You just have to integrate these four elements into your life. If youâd like to discuss how you can get started with any of them, email or give me a call. Iâd be happy to help you!
